Hallo Brandenburg!
Wir freuen uns riesig, heute hier beim CSD in unserer Stadt dabei zu sein – laut, bunt, solidarisch!
Wir sind das Jugendhaus cafe contact und bereits seit 1982 (damals als Treffpunkt des Arbeitskreises der „Homosexuellen Selbsthilfe“) ein Ort, an dem Vielfalt nicht nur willkommen ist, sondern gelebt wird. Seitdem ist das cafe contact ein Ort, an dem du sein kannst, wer du bist – ohne Angst, ohne Scham, ohne Verstecken.
Heute stehen wir hier, weil Sichtbarkeit wichtig ist. Weil queeres Leben immer noch nicht selbstverständlich ist – nicht in Brandenburg, nicht in Deutschland, nicht weltweit. Und weil wir zeigen wollen: Ihr seid nicht allein.
Wir erleben fast täglich, wie junge Menschen mit Fragen zu ihrer Identität, ihrer Sexualität oder ihrem Geschlecht zu uns kommen – mit Mut, mit Sorgen, mit Hoffnung. Wir erleben auch wie junge Menschen auf Grund ihrer Sexualität oder Identität ausgegrenzt und diskriminiert werden, zum großen Teil in der Schule, aber auch im familiären Umfeld finden sie oft wenig Unterstützung und Akzeptanz.
Aus diesen Gründen möchten wir uns für mehr Angebote, Beratung und safe spaces in der Stadt einsetzen. Wir möchten gern ein Queer-Café bei uns ins Leben rufen. Dafür wünschen wir uns eure Ideen, Vorstellungen und Wünsche. Kommt dazu gern mit uns ins Gespräch und lasst uns gemeinsam einen großartigen Treffpunkt weiter gestalten.
Danke an alle, die heute hier sind. Danke an alle, die kämpfen, sich zeigen und sich engagieren. Und vor allem: Danke an die jungen Menschen, die sich nicht unterkriegen lassen und sich für ihre Rechte einsetzen!
Solidarität heißt handeln – nicht nur heute, sondern jeden Tag.

We are delighted to be here today at the CSD in our city – loud, colorful, in solidarity!
We are the cafe contact youth center and have been a place where diversity is not only welcome, but lived, since 1982 (back then as a meeting place for the “Homosexual Self-Help” working group). Since then, cafe contact has been a place where you can be who you are – without fear, without shame, without hiding.
We are here today because visibility is important. Because queer life is still not a matter of course – not in Brandenburg, not in Germany, not worldwide. And because we want to show: You are not alone.
We see young people coming to us almost every day with questions about their identity, their sexuality or their gender – with courage, with worries, with hope. We also experience how young people are marginalized and discriminated against because of their sexuality or identity, largely at school, but they often find little support and acceptance in their family environment too.
For these reasons, we would like to campaign for more services, advice and safe spaces in the city. We would like to set up a queer café here. We would like to hear your ideas, visions and wishes. Please come and talk to us and let’s further design a great meeting place together.
Thank you to everyone who is here today. Thank you to everyone who is fighting, showing up and getting involved. And above all: thank you to the young people who refuse to be defeated and stand up for their rights!
