Liebe Freund*innen,

ich spreche heute für die Naturfreundejugend Brandenburg.
Ehrlich gesagt bin ich nicht nur besorgt. Ich bin wütend.

Ich bin wütend, weil wir noch immer erklären sollen, warum es CSDs braucht, obwohl die Antwort direkt vor uns liegt. Sie steht in den Kommentarspalten. Sie zeigt sich in Angriffen auf queere Menschen. Sie sitzt in Parlamenten. Und sie regiert inzwischen in immer mehr Ländern.

Das sind keine voneinander unabhängigen Entwicklungen. Rechte und autoritäre Bewegungen lernen voneinander. Sie benutzen überall dieselben Lügen.

Auch in Deutschland steigt die Zahl queerfeindlicher Straftaten. 2.377 registrierte Fälle waren es im vergangenen Jahr. Hinter jedem einzelnen Fall steht ein Mensch, der beleidigt, bedroht oder angegriffen wurde.

Wir wissen alle, dass viele Betroffene erst gar nicht zur Polizei gehen, weil sie nicht ernst genommen werden oder weil sie Angst haben, dort die nächste beschissene Erfahrung zu machen.

Wie real diese Bedrohung ist, hat sich bereits unter der Facebook-Artikel der MAZ zu diesen CSD gezeigt. Dort fragte jemand mit lachenden Emojis: „Kann man sich einen LKW mieten?“ Ein anderer schrieb: „Wenn sie es wagen zu kommen, werden sie die entsprechende Antwort bekommen.“ Und ein weiterer hoffte, dass diese angebliche „Modeerscheinung“ bald ende.

Das sind eindeutige Drohungen.

Wer unter der Ankündigung eines CSDs einen Lkw ins Spiel bringt, weiß genau, welche Bilder damit verbunden sind. Wer ankündigt, wir würden eine „entsprechende Antwort“ bekommen, wenn wir es wagen zu kommen, versucht ganz bewusst, Menschen einzuschüchtern. Die Botschaft lautet: Kommt besser nicht.

Solche Äußerungen sind strafrechtlich relevant und müssen von Polizei und Staatsanwaltschaft geprüft werden.

Diese Kommentare kommen aber nicht aus dem Nichts. Hinter ihnen steht ein politisches Klima, das von rechten Parteien jeden Tag weiter verschärft wird. Und deshalb müssen wir auch über die AfD reden.

Die AfD ist keine normale Partei. Sie arbeitet gezielt daran, queere Menschen, zu einem gesellschaftlichen Feindbild zu machen. Sie spricht uns das Recht ab, selbst über unsere Identität und unser Leben zu bestimmen.

Die AfD hält vielleicht nicht bei jedem Angriff selbst den Schlagstock in der Hand. Aber sie liefert das Feindbild. Sie liefert die Sprache.

Wenn eine Partei Menschen immer wieder als krank oder gefährlich darstellt, dann bleibt das nicht folgenlos. Wer uns öffentlich zur Bedrohung erklärt, macht uns zur Zielscheibe. Wer unsere Rechte abschaffen will, signalisiert seinen Anhänger*innen, dass unser Leben weniger wert ist. Und wer den Hass immer weiter anheizt, trägt politische Verantwortung dafür, wenn aus Worten Drohungen und aus Drohungen Taten werden.

Von dieser Politik geht eine Gefahr für Leib und Leben aus. Die AfD ist eine Gefahr für queere Menschen, für Migrant*innen, für Menschen mit Behinderung und für alle, die nicht in ihr völkisch-nationalistische Weltbild passen.

Während der rechte Angriff auf queeres Leben immer härter wird, versagt auch die Bundesregierung.

Dem Jugendnetzwerk Lambda wurde die Rahmenvereinbarung zum Ende des Jahres gekündigt. Ohne vorherige Ankündigung und ohne Begründung.

Lambda ist nicht irgendein Projekt. Lambda ist ein selbstorganisierter queerer Jugendverband. Dort finden junge Menschen Beratung, Gemeinschaft und eine politische Stimme. Für manche ist Lambda der erste Ort, an dem sie offen sagen können, wer sie sind. Für manche ist es der einzige.

Und deshalb sagen wir eindeutig: Unsere Solidarität mit Lambda ist bedingungslos.

Wir stehen an der Seite von Lambda, seiner Beschäftigten, seiner Ehrenamtlichen und aller jungen Menschen, die dort Gemeinschaft finden. Wir fordern, dass die Kündigung sofort zurückgenommen wird.

Wer ihnen die Grundlage entzieht, nimmt jungen Menschen einen Schutzraum und schwächt ihre politische Stimme. Das werden wir nicht akzeptieren.

Diese Bundesregierung redet gerne von Demokratie, Vielfalt und Jugendbeteiligung. Aber eine Beteiligung, die nur so lange finanziert wird, wie junge Menschen freundlich nicken und die Regierungspolitik bestätigen, ist keine Beteiligung. Jugendverbände sind nicht dazu da, Regierungsentscheidungen hübsch zu begleiten. Wir sind dazu da, uns einzumischen, zu widersprechen und die Interessen junger Menschen zu vertreten. Auch dann, wenn es der Regierung nicht passt.

Und gleichzeitig wird bei der Aufrüstung plötzlich nicht mehr gefragt, ob das Geld vorhanden ist.

Diese Regierung will unsere Körper für den Dienst am Staat erfassen. Aber sie schützt unsere Körper nicht vor rechter Gewalt.

Sie will, dass junge Menschen im Zweifel bereitstehen, für dieses Land zu kämpfen. Gleichzeitig nimmt dieses Land ihnen durch soziale Unsicherheit, unbezahlbares Wohnen und die Klimakrise immer mehr ihre Zukunft.

Für Waffen ist Geld da. Für Lambda angeblich nicht.

Das ist keine finanzielle Notwendigkeit. Das ist eine Entscheidung darüber, welche Form von Sicherheit dieser Regierung wichtig ist. Für sie bedeutet Sicherheit offenbar mehr Panzer, mehr Munition und mehr Menschen in Uniform.

Für uns bedeutet Sicherheit etwas anderes. Sicherheit bedeutet, auf der Straße nicht angegriffen zu werden.

Ein CSD ist politische Selbstverteidigung. Wir zeigen uns, weil andere uns unsichtbar machen wollen.

Dear friends,

I’m speaking today on behalf of the Nature Friends Youth of Brandenburg.
To be honest, I’m not just worried. I’m angry.

I’m angry because we’re still expected to explain why Pride parades are necessary, even though the answer is right in front of us. It’s in the comment sections. It’s evident in attacks on queer people. It’s sitting in parliaments. And it’s now in power in more and more countries.

These are not unrelated developments. Right-wing and authoritarian movements learn from one another. They use the same lies everywhere.

In Germany, too, the number of anti-queer crimes is rising. There were 2,377 reported cases last year. Behind every single case is a person who was insulted, threatened, or attacked.

We all know that many victims don’t even go to the police in the first place because they aren’t taken seriously or because they’re afraid of having another terrible experience there.

Just how real this threat is was already evident in the comments section of the MAZ’s Facebook post about this year’s CSD. There, someone asked with laughing emojis, “Can you rent a truck?” Another wrote, “If they dare to come, they’ll get the response they deserve.” And yet another hoped that this so-called “fad” would end soon.

These are clear threats.

Anyone who brings up a truck in the comments section of a CSD announcement knows exactly what images are associated with it. Anyone who announces that we’ll get an “appropriate response” if we dare to come is deliberately trying to intimidate people. The message is: You’d better not come.

Such statements are criminally relevant and must be investigated by the police and the public prosecutor’s office.

But these comments don’t come out of nowhere. Behind them lies a political climate that right-wing parties are further exacerbating every day. And that’s why we also need to talk about the AfD.

The AfD is not a normal party. It works systematically to portray queer people as a social enemy. It denies us the right to determine our own identities and lives.

The AfD may not be the one wielding the baton in every attack. But it provides the enemy stereotype. It provides the language.

When a party repeatedly portrays people as sick or dangerous, it does not happen without consequences. Those who publicly declare us a threat make us a target. Those who want to abolish our rights signal to their supporters that our lives are worth less. And those who continue to stoke hatred bear political responsibility— —when words turn into threats and threats turn into actions.

These policies pose a danger to life and limb. The AfD is a danger to queer people, to migrants, to people with disabilities, and to anyone who does not fit into its ethno-nationalist worldview.

While the right-wing attack on queer lives is growing ever more severe, the federal government is also failing.

The framework agreement with the youth network Lambda was terminated at the end of the year—without prior notice and without explanation.

Lambda is not just any project. Lambda is a self-organized queer youth association. There, young people find guidance, community, and a political voice. For some, Lambda is the first place where they can openly say who they are. For some, it is the only one.

And that is why we say unequivocally: Our solidarity with Lambda is unconditional.

We stand with Lambda, its staff, its volunteers, and all the young people who find a sense of community there. We demand that the termination be rescinded immediately.

Anyone who takes away their foundation is depriving young people of a safe space and weakening their political voice. We will not accept that.

This federal government likes to talk about democracy, diversity, and youth participation. But participation that is funded only as long as young people nod agreeably and endorse government policy is not participation. Youth organizations are not there to simply go along with government decisions. We are here to get involved, to speak out, and to represent the interests of young people—even when it doesn’t suit the government.

And at the same time, when it comes to military buildup, suddenly no one asks anymore whether the money is available.

This government wants to conscript our bodies into service for the state. But it does not protect our bodies from right-wing violence.

It wants young people to be ready, if necessary, to fight for this country. At the same time, this country is increasingly robbing them of their future through social insecurity, unaffordable housing, and the climate crisis.

There’s money for weapons. Supposedly not for Lambda.

This isn’t a financial necessity. It’s a decision about what kind of security matters to this government. For them, security apparently means more tanks, more ammunition, and more people in uniform.

For us, security means something else. Security means not being attacked on the street.

A Pride parade is political self-defense. We show up because others want to make us invisible.
